WYOMING SENIOR CITIZENS, INC. (WSCI) founded in 1975 is a private, nonprofit organization whose purpose is to meet the needs of Wyoming's older residents and help them maintain their independence.
SENIOR COMPANION PROGRAM is frozen at this time. A very limited number of Companions are currently serving.
Effective June 30, 2025, funding for the Senior Companion Program has been officially frozen.
As a result of this funding suspension, with a few exceptions, Wyoming Senior Citizens, Inc. will no longer be able to compensate volunteers or provide services to clients through this program beyond that date. This is a difficult and deeply unfortunate development, and we understand the impact it will have on the individuals and communities we serve.
We want to express our sincere appreciation for the unwavering support, dedication, and compassion that our volunteers, staff, clients, stations and community partners have shown over the years. Your commitment has made a meaningful difference in the lives of countless seniors across Wyoming.
Should funding be restored in the future, we will make every effort to reconnect and resume services. Until then, thank you for your understanding and continued support during this challenging time.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact our office.
With gratitude, Herbert J. Wilcox, Executive Director
